Synopsis

ENTITY visually captures an intense personal journey inward. We observe a person in a meditative sitting posture whose head slowly sinks, moving inward like a drop falling into the ocean within. That drop instantly expands to become the ocean itself, then contracts once again into a drop, returning to the head. The journey doesn’t end there; the drop continues its trajectory, transforming into the wind as it moves beyond the self, toward nothingness.

Creators’ Statement: A Complete Meditation

This film is a brief personal journey inward through meditation, fully depicting the challenging and rewarding path of turning within and transcending the self.

In fact, the film itself is intended to be a complete meditation. By following the character’s internal transformation—from drop to ocean to wind—we invite the viewer to experience a moment of profound, abstract contemplation and release alongside the animation.

Production Insight

At just over a minute, ENTITY uses our hand-drawn, low-tech style to visualize complex, non-physical states. The simplicity of the visuals is essential here, allowing the movement and the sound design (guided by Sara Behrad) to carry the full weight of the metaphysical transformation, focusing purely on the internal shift.
