Synopsis

A man is seen waiting. A thought comes to him, prompting him to action. He turns inward and dives deep within himself until he finds a shell resting in the depths of his being. He returns to the surface—to himself—with a pearl, and offers this rare creation as a gift to a woman he had been waiting for earlier.

Creators’ Statement: The Gift of Honesty

This film is a personal dedication from me (Farhad) to Sara.

The idea began when I was searching for a simple, clear visual way to show how a character could truly go inside himself. Once I found that form—the internal dive—the idea of giving a gift to Sara came to mind. The combination of these two concepts became the film: the internal search yields the gift of love. We cherish this film for its originality and honesty.

Production Insight

PEARL perfectly encapsulates the synergy of our partnership. The animation focuses on the visual metaphor of the inward journey, achieved with our signature hand-drawn, low-tech style. This simplicity ensures the intimacy of the central action—the finding and giving of the pearl—remains the film’s most powerful and honest moment.
