Synopsis
A man whistles as he prepares to leave his room, switching off the light to plunge the space into darkness. He then “enters” the outside world and switches on the sun! As he passes, a giant hand reaches down and flips the switch, turning the sun off and revealing that his entire reality—both inside and out—is an artificial construct.
Creators’ Statement:
“Click” explores the thin veil between our perceived freedom and the structures that contain us. By subverting the boundary between the private interior and the public exterior, the film suggests that our “natural” world is often just a larger room with a different set of switches. We wanted to use a simple, hand-drawn aesthetic to ask a complex question: if reality can be turned off with a click, who is holding the switch?
