FALL
Synopsis
A seemingly carefree figure struts confidently across a surface, only to suffer a sudden slip and tumble into a relentless, terrifying descent. The figure crashes repeatedly from one plane to another, then another, until their fall ceases to be physical and transforms into an endless, dizzying drift among the uncountable planets scattered across the infinite cosmos.
Creators’ Statement: Joy, Ruin, and Impermanence
This is a dark spiritual allegory, cloaked intentionally in playful, childlike imagery: a deep meditation on carelessness, impermanence, and the inevitability of descent.
The film’s whimsical visuals and sounds are designed to place the viewer securely inside the character’s mind, allowing them to witness the fall without being consumed by its horror. This creates a critical space to observe, reflect, and confront the delicate balance between fleeting joy and ultimate ruin.
Production Insight
The brevity of FALL (just 28 seconds) makes its impact highly concentrated. The intentional contrast between the dark theme and the playful, hand-drawn visuals highlights the power of our low-tech method to explore deep existential questions with visual economy and stylistic charm.
