Love is in the Rain

LOVE IS IN THE RAIN

Synopsis

Rain falls steadily across the scene. A person walks with an umbrella and encounters a lost, small, and completely drenched kitten. The person gently opens a hidden edge of the umbrella to instantly shield the little creature before lifting it carefully into their arms. As the rain ceases and the sun returns, they make their way home together.

Creators’ Statement: Our Bird of Fortune

This story is almost entirely true. Everything happened just like this with our beloved cat, Homa—whose name means ‘a bird of fortune’ in ancient Iranian culture—except for the rain, which we added to enhance the scene and give it a timeless cinematic mood.

LOVE IS IN THE RAIN is, without a doubt, a small love story: tender, fleeting, and full of the quiet joy that comes from an unexpected act of compassion and the beginning of a beautiful new connection.

Production Insight

At just under a minute, this film demonstrates the gentle power of our hand-drawn, low-tech style to convey warmth and tenderness. The focus on the careful movements—the opening of the umbrella, the lifting of the cat—makes the simple act of rescue feel profoundly important and intimate.
